- In Luke 4:16-19, Jesus reads from the prophet Isaiah, declaring freedom for the oppressed. He taught his disciples to care for people's needs.
- One of the points given as Jesus' good news is "Jesus worked for peace and justice and he asks all of us to do the same."
- The Church works for justice and peace-a major presentation of this faith statement.
- We live out the good news of Jesus Christ. This major presentation of our call to live the good news and to work for peace and justice has a chart with five related points, followed by a paragraph of suggestions to do this in everyday life.

- The opening prayer service is taken from the Good Friday prayers for other Christians, the Jewish people, and those who do not acknowledge Christ.
- Beliefs of various religions (Jews, Muslims, native tribes) are briefly presented.
- The Jewish faith is important to Christians.
- We make efforts toward unity with other Christians. Ecumenism as the key word is presented.
- The Church works for Christian unity. We try to treat people as Jesus did.
