10 Regarding the Ascension of the Lord, the ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, and the State of Nebraska have retained its celebration on the proper Thursday, while all other provinces have transferred this solemnity to the Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 28. If transferred, Thursday, May 25, may be observed as an Easter Weekday, or as an optional memorial of Saint Bede the Venerable, priest and doctor of the Church, or Saint Gregory the VII, pope, or Saint Mary Magdelene de'Pazzi, virgin. The following readings are used: Acts 18:1-8 / John 16:16-20 (294).
